Aside from our honeymoon to Aruba last August (where we were too exhausted to do much of anything besides laying comatose on the beach), hubs and I haven’t taken a big vacation in quite a while. We took an amazing trip to Barcelona and London in 2008, but we’ve been on a savings kick since then for wedding and new apartment expenses. This year, however, we’re more than ready to dust off our passports and set off on some new adventures! Paris? Hong Kong? Italy? Peru? The world is our oyster.

I am a huuuge fan of city trips myself! I saw a lot of beautiful cultures, people, food and places in Europe, but my top favorite has always been Italy. There is something about that country that makes my heart bounce a tiny bit harder. Tip: Lago Maggiore! Especially the cities and villages around the north-west of the lake.

Oooh jealousy! I went on a long trip to London last spring, and I’m oh-so-sad that I don’t get to jet off on another trip this year. I might get to go to California early this summer though – here’s hoping!

My vote is Peru. South America is too awesome to pass up! Have so much fun!

Oh, how I can’t wait for our next trip! John and I were in Granada last summer (more for music than relaxing), but I’m already dreaming of a long, lazy beach trip after his semester wraps up!

As for where you might go next, I have to encourage you to check out more of Latin America! Peru is absolutely magnificent!

  5. 2009 was a big travel year for me, and 2010 was definitely not, so i’d love to be able to take a trip this year or the next. i LOVE that luggage!

  6. Are you getting the snowy weather too? Something about wintery weather makes me want to go away on a trip… I was just planning a few ideas for trips this summer last night!

    I vote for Paris!
