I bought a set of Japanese Washi tape several weeks ago and immediately started searching for an easy crafty project to break them in with. When these darling clothespins from Whisker Graphics popped up, I knew I had to make my own! There were bags of mini-clothespins collecting dust in one corner of our apartment, leftover from our wedding, so I already had all supplies on hand. You know a project is good when you can make something fun AND clean out your house at the same time :-)

Fantastically simple instructions: Cover one side of the clothespin with a piece of tape – some colors can be quite sheer, so I used 2 layers – and trim off the excess with an exacto blade. Repeat on the other side and you’re done! I absolutely love how cheerful the clothespins look post-makeover, and they’ve been wonderful at helping me organize papers around my desk. Enjoy!

I love the ones where you used more than one pattern/color of tape per side (maybe you did that on the backs of all of them?). Very cute. Does the tape stay on even after opening and closing the pins a lot?

the dual-color was my little twist – glad you like it! the tape seems to stay in place very well. i haven’t come across any issues with it peeling off
