Ttwo pretty marimo specimens from Gardens of Wendiland

These weird velvety balls of living algae are called marimo, and they’re apparently Japan’s equivalent to the pet rock :-) Call me crazy, but I think they’re actually kind of cute! It’s believed that a well pampered marimo will bring good luck and make your wishes come true, so keep’em happy!

    you know, i kinda want one of these…. hahaha anything that is cute and brings good luck! it’s like having a pet fish but it’s not ugly and stinky and gross when it dies. triple better.
