"Hand made" wallpaper from PaperBoy Wallpaper | Shadow puppet pendants from Not On The High Street | "Paloma" dove hand shadow puppet brooch from CultureLabel | Swan sweater from Kin Ship Press

A few months ago, I went on an art tour in Chelsea (NYCers, you should check it out some weekend!), and one studio we visited showed the Shadow Life exhibit of Chinese artist Cao Fei. It included three short films of traditional shadow puppetry – the intricacies of which had me transfixed! It was just amazing to see such beautiful art created with nothing more than human hands and a double dose of creativity. Unfortunately I can’t find these videos online anywhere, so I’ll have to just leave you with these whimsical finds (that wallpaper is my latest obsession).
