It’s no secret that Brooklyn has soared in popularity over the past few years. It’s gotten so hip, in fact, that even my avoid-Brooklyn-at-all-costs Manhattan friends have begrudgingly fallen in love with the borough :-) Amazing food, lovely boutiques, quaint brownstone lined streets, and a newly built giant sports/concert arena (ok jury’s still out on that one) – what’s not to love? Here are a few local goodies that make me proud to call this place home.

I spent very little time in Brooklyn when I visited NY last year – something that I now regret but luckily that means I have an excuse to come back. Loving that slate cheese board!

Two sets of friends of mine are making the move back into Manhattan after the rent on their apts in Brooklyn (Brooklyn Heights and Williamsburg) became more expensive than apartments across the river! Go figure :) I love those slate cheeseboards so much.
I’m still (pleasantly) surprised by how popular BK has gotten. But there is some really good stuff coming out of there, no doubt about it.
I always find SO many great pieces in Brooklyn–especially jewelry!
