This whimsical hand drawn…I’ll just let that sink in for a second…map of NYC may very well be the coolest I’ve ever seen. You’d better believe it has gone straight to the top of my wishlist! And it’s more than just eye candy – Illustrator Jenni Sparks spent whole three months researching and drawing all of the city’s nooks and crannies, resulting in a painstakingly detailed and accurate portrayal of our beloved urban jungle. I almost expect to find myself captured somewhere on the streets, Where’s Waldo? style. Next on her radar? Paris!
Prints of this map (along with a similar one of London) are available for purchase at Evermade.

Those are AWESOME! I love people who do map projects like that – I would love to do one of my hometown for myself as a wall piece.

This is so cool. All the little details everywhere. I especially love that King Kong is in there.
(I also get that Where’s Waldo vibe from this illustration… so fun!)
hand drawn???? that’s amazing Gloria – i thought it was a digital render of some kind but am amazed to find out otherwise. i love it too, the colors are super fun and the darling comic-esque style is really rad :)
