A HUGE portion of my childhood was spent sprawled out on the floor, reading and re-reading Calvin & Hobbes books until the covers fell off, and the pages were ripped and tattered. I was always a bit envious that my stuffed animals never went on wild adventures with me (something I’m not quite over yet), and I even painstakingly made a clay mobile of Calvin, Hobbes, Suzy, and bully Moe once in art class. Seriously, I was a die hard fan. And so I must thank freelance photographer Michael S. Den Beste for bringing these BFFs to life by photoshopping the two frolicking against real-life scenery – that first image makes my heart burst! Monday morning just got a whole lot brighter. Check out more here!
So delayed, but oh how I love this. I too was a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan — and still have many, many C&H books sitting on a bookshelf in my apartment, equally as tattered. What a great art series!
I just brought in some of my Calvin and Hobbes books to my 5th graders, and now they can’t get enough of them! At Christmas I even tried to convince them to name our class elf Hobbes.

Oh, me too! I looooved Calvin & Hobbes. I still remember the one where Calvin put Crisco in his hair for picture day, haha. These images are great!
This is just adorable! I love those two!! <3
So, so sweet!
So adorable!
Cute! The first photo is my favorite too. Such a classic cartoon. Thanks for sharing!
These are brilliant!
Calvin & Hobbes!! My favorite as a kid! Actually my sister even named one of her dogs Hobbes. :)
This is awesome! I’ll have to forward it to my hubs. He was a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan too!
I love them… This is such a great idea!
I’ve never really read calvin and hobbes but these pictures are pretty awesome anyways!
These are fantastic!
Seriously brilliant! I want to see that mobile you made!
