irrational fears by andrew kolb

This “Irrational Fears” series by illustrator Andrew Kolb made me crack up. I’ve always been wary of ice skating because I’m afraid someone will skate right over my fingers and chop them all off when I inevitably fall, so I totally GET this.

  1. These are so cute… hope you had a nice weekend!

  2. I feel exactly the same way as you when I go ice skating!!! I love it BUT if I fall I put away my fingers faster than a kid steals a piece of candy. I CAN’T STAND that idea!

  4. Alison says:

I love this! Making fun of silly fears is hilarious!

  5. Jen says:

Hilarious. I routinely fear slipping down the stairs and landing in a mangled pile at the bottom, so this definitely speaks to me. ;)

  6. Mariko says:

That flaming oven mitts fear isn’t irrational. It’s happened to me. On more than one occasion.

    • Mariko says:

To be fair, they were old and had holes that exposed the cotton batting inside and that’s what caught fire. So I guess the lesson is: don’t use oven mitts with holes.

  7. Jane Y. says:
