super chic ikea hacks

IKEA Tarva dresser hack from Smitten Studio | IKEA Bekvam stool hack from This Little Street | IKEA Rast nightstand hack from Red Book | IKEA Besta + Billy bookcase combo hack from Centsational Girl

We’re finally getting around to updating some of the furniture around our house, which means I’ll be bidding adieu to my trusty Malm dresser and nightstand that have been with me since I moved into my very first apartment here in NYC 10 years ago. Say what you want about IKEA, but some of that cheapo stuff really LASTS! I only wish I had seen these pieces as blank slates to build upon and really made them my own. I mean, just take a look at these incredible makeovers to see what happens when creativity and elbow grease meets plain old IKEA furniture – (expensive looking) magic!

  1. Aww! I love those little stepping stools.

  2. Some of the furniture my family has from Ikea has outlasted most of the other furniture and has been with us for YEARS, so I totally agree! I love the pops of color and… come on, who doesn’t love getting lost in Ikea (at least the first half an hour), haha! I’d totally buy that stool :)
