My name is Gloria. I scour the high seas of the internet daily to find the cutest, the beautiful, and the most bodacious.

During a stressful day at work yesterday, I glanced out the window overlooking the gray and gloomy Manhattan skyline. At that moment, a bunch of colorful balloons floated up past our floor and up into the sky – seemingly out of nowhere. It put a little pep in my step for the remainder of the day.

Gotta get down on Fridaaaaay
Ok I’m sorry, that was just plain cruel. But Rebecca Black is stuck in my head, and misery sure loves company!
By the way, this is exactly what I look like in the morning – so utterly rolled up under the blankets that it takes the strength of one husband to drag me out of bed by my feet. This dog and I may be very well be long lost twins. And, I mean, he does have the right idea – Fridays should definitely be spent snuggled in bed, in order to gear up for weekend activities :-) Have a good one!

The title of this photo is “Freedom Friday”, which I think is just absolutely perfect. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when you pack up your things to leave work Friday night, knowing a whole weekend’s worth of adventure is just waiting to begin the minute you step outside.
When 5:00pm rolls around today, leave behind all your projects and meetings and TPS reports. Hop on your horse with a fistful of balloons and ride full speed towards a terrific weekend – yee haw!

It’s back to reality after our brief, but fun trip out to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut! Hubs had looked into little B&B inns, but decided on the casino due to the crazy weather we’ve been getting. And he was RIGHT – just walking across the parking garage was brutally cold!
We shopped at little boutiques and drank margaritas at the cheesy Margaritaville. We tried our luck at the slot machines. We went wild in the kiddie arcade. We blew off fancy dinner reservations to eat burgers, fries, and kaluha-spiked milkshakes. We lounged around on our luxurious king-sized bed and watched the Westminster dog show on TV. We ordered room service for breakfast and even stopped at the outlets on the way home – a bonus!
All in all, it was such a mellow, relaxing outing for us. It’s times like this that I’m so happy we don’t make a habit out of buying each other big, expensive material gifts. I’ll take playing a hysterical game of skee-ball with my funny and thoughtful husband over getting a new designer purse, always.
